12.09.2018

The event "Argentine Tango Week in Armenia" started on September 11. For the second year in a row, Converse Bank customers are the first to enjoy performances of dance couples from Argentina. Traditional supporters of this initiative by the Embassy of the Argentine Republic in Armenia are the companies of the group managed by Argentine businessman of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian, including Converse Bank.

"Having direct relation to Argentina, we support various, also cultural, initiatives aimed at development of bilateral affairs, the main purpose of which is to popularize the Argentine culture. This year, hundreds of people not only in Yerevan, but also in Gyumri and Ijevan, will have the opportunity to watch Argentine tango and take part in master classes within the framework of the Tango Week", - said Juliana Del Aguila-Eurnekian, a representative of the Eurnekian family in Armenia.

She also mentioned that Mr. Eduardo Eurnekian had been actively engaged in investment and charitable activity in Armenia for about two decades, supporting projects designed for expansion of bilateral affairs.

"The purpose of such events is to bring closer the two nations. Tango, being a highly emotional and passionate dance, perfectly conveys the specifics of Argentine culture. Within the framework of the event, on September 10-16, we will be able to watch not only tango performances, but also a series of documentary films about this famous Argentine dance", - concluded Gonzalo Urriolabeitia, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Argentina in Armenia.
