Grant Akopian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Buenos Aires, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School. He is fluent in Spanish, Russian, Armenian, and English.

Prior to relocating to Armenia, he worked at the headquarters of "Corporacion America" in Buenos Aires, holding various positions.

In 2008, Mr. Akopian relocated to Armenia and joined Haypost Trust Management BV, where he was responsible for the execution of the Trust’s strategy at Haypost CJSC. He played a key role in the company’s corporate development and, from 2008 to 2019, served as a member of the Board of Directors of Haypost CJSC.

Mr. Akopian joined Converse Bank CJSC in 2011 as an Adviser to the Chief Executive Officer. Since February 2017, he has been the Bank’s Chief Financial Officer, and since August 2019, Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

 Since 2024, Mr. Akopian has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Banking Association for Central and Eastern Europe (BACEE).

 In April 2026, Grant Akopian has been appointed Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Management Board of Converse Bank.
